I had an idea what it means for mma’s and after viewing the clip, I can’t say I agree with much of it.
Which is very sad, since it means so much to everyone.
Not to everyone. I thought about posting a rebuttal here, but after reading what I wrote, I believe it would be of more benefit in the articles section of Bullshido.
Yes, I’m going to take on Matt Thornton’s position. So, keep an eye out for -
‘Kungfoolss takes on Matt Thornton’s belief structure’ :jihad:
Are you going to take on Jigoro Kano’s belief structure as well? It’s not like ‘Aliveness’ is a new concept, Furey just has to reiterate it because so many people still won’t accept it… despite the overwhelming evidence of the advantages it offers.
Training alive produces superior fighters, you can’t refute that.

There is some validity what Thornton espouses, but to blindly accept everything the man has stated as gospel, as most Bullshidoer’s seem to have done, is patently silly.
Training alive produces superior fighters,
Superior to what exactly, every other fighter on the planet? MMA is hardly the panacea to all combat situations.
you can’t refute that.
They say the same thing to Penn & Teller all the time. Besides, if you truly believed this, then you have nothing to worry about right?
This thread might be funny if there were context. As it is, Kung:hitlerdan:hitlerdan:hitlerdan:hitlerdans looks like a wanker, but I can’t really tell because someone was lazy when they made the thread.
