The owner of a karate studio in North Royalton will now spend the next 12 1/2 years behind bars for having sex with a 14-year-old girl who took part in one of the classes he taught.
Judge Timothy McCormick handed down the sentence to Gary Gray, 31, this afternoon.
Gray plead guilty on April 2, to 38 counts of gross sexual imposition, one count of sexual battery and one count of importuning for the relationship he carried on with the girl over a span of nearly two-years.
Gray was a co-owner of the Karate for Kids studio on Royalton Road.
What really astonishes me is how morons like that think they can get away with it. I mean they are sick in the head as it is, but they are also straight idiots.

I know nothing about this case, but unless the guy has a record, 12 years seems unusually high for sex with a 14 y/o. Not that I think it should be lower, but there are people out there getting 2 years and less for similar crimes. Probably the media attention.
