I used to use a Gateway 15.4 inch laptop that I bought back in 2005. It was a good machine, and served me well up through my deployment to Iraq (I returned in January this year).
Unfortunately, after a hard drive burn out (Iraq’s heat is merciless), I had to replace my old workhorse.
I looked around, and was initially set on investing in an Alienware rig. That was soon to change when I found out how badly they overheat and how poor their customer service is. Through additional searches (and a little bit of dumb luck), I came across a mention of a small notebook reseller, Killer Notebooks (www.killernotebooks.com).
The reviews for KN products were solid, though sparse. What little information there was available was all favorable. So I decided to make a call, ask some questions, etc. I sent an email first, thinking it’d be a more productive initial inquiry. Boy was I surprised when the owner of KN, Mark Mueller, called me to answer my questions! After an hour long conversation (on his dime), I decided he knew what he was talking about…
I ended up ordering a Nagamaki, a very potent monster beast that outperforms and outbids all other competitors. No other commercially available laptop could compete, either with the options available, the custom work being done, or the basement prices.
Seriously, if you’re in the market for a new laptop, check out Killer Notebooks. This machine kicks serious ass…
