Joe Rogan to fight Wesley Snipes?

You might be right. I’ve only seen maybe 1 or 2 of his movies, but for some reason I always think of him as supposedly being some kind of kick ass martial artist. But, now that I think about it, perhaps he is just another action star and the whole MA thing was just his backstory. Sort of like Patrick Swayzee.

Either way, I doubt he’d take this fight. It just seems to me that he has more to lose than to gain. If his career sucks now, what’s going to happen when he loses to doofus.

I’m not convinced the guy was even out. I think he was fakin it.

Until Blade, Snipes could actually act and fought like something between a realistically trained martial artist and a good street fighter. IMO Blade brought about monotone acting and the wannabe badass kung fu shit he’s on. I still like his movies, but he was better back in the day.

I couldn’t agree more with what you just said.

Like I said earlier, I don’t like Snipes. BUt I think that ‘Sugar Hill’ is one of the best crime drama films ever made. His acting in that movie is great.

You know, since Wesley is on the late night infomercial for the Total Gym with Chuck Norris, he should go train with him in Machado BJJ. He’d actually have a good chance. I’d love to see Joe’s face when Snipes comes to the ring with a BJJ train that includes all 5 Machados and Walker, Texas Ranger. Of course, Joe will be chewing on a Mongolian cave spider, so maybe it won’t show. Failing that, if Snipes sticks to the kickboxing instead of the Kenpo or Capoeria or that Egyptian crap, he might stand a chance against Joe’s top level TKD. I’m still gonna agree with everybody else and say Rogan wins on the ground, though. Even if Snipes starts grappling training, he won’t have the experience Rogan will. Of course, white men still can’t jump.

Rogan is a damn purple belt. On top of that he’s a TKD champion. So not only does his ground game trump Snipes’, but as Snipes isn’t exactly the premier muay thai threat, Rogan’s TKD is enough to at least match him. Snipes is outclassed.

If they put this on a UFC PPV event I will buy it. Comedy like this is to good to pass up. But I’ll bet Snipes wants a million dollar pricetag, whereas Rogan would do it for much less. After negotiation, promotion, and fees the fight itself would proabably cost millions just to be on the card.

So I just don’t see it happening.

I can see it. Zuffa has done a fantastic job of getting UFC out to the public, but it hasn’t yet become anything more than a niche sport.

Celebrity involvement can be expensive, but it will draw MILLIONS of people to the sport. Put the stars on a card with real fighters, and hopefully you will break the sport in a way that hasn’t been possible until now.

Ooooh, you know what would be cool? Kid Hercules versus Michael Jackson. Mike Tyson vs. Tank Abbot with new dentures in a “bites allowed” match. Jeff Speakman vs. Keith Hackney in a “Kenpo Deathmatch.” Jean Claude Van Damme vs. Rob Van Damme. Steven Seagal vs. Gary Busey in a “White Sumo” challenge. Gary Daniels vs. anybody. Oh man, I could come up with these all day.

for some reason when i hear wesley snipes, Billy blanks (or whatever his name is) comes to mind. Why would rogan want to fight snipes anyways? I would much rather see a fight with JCVD or someone like that.

There is just one question that needs to be asked here.

Does Joe Rogan have to choke a bitch?!

Snipes should not worry much about losing since he has had his ass handed to him in a handfull of films hes in.

Should I remind you of the whupping he received from Ice-T in New Jack City?

Even if it was fiction from what I just mentioned an actual match would do good for Wesley Snipes or Joe Rogan scoring some bad-ass points win or lose to either.
