People of British origin coming in second with 25%, combined with Canadians at 17% doesn’t even come out to a majority.

Asians in BC are Anglophones to me. I don’t identify them as a seperate national group. I think it’s racist to point out distinctions like that constantly, it’s why I don’t like multiculturalism as a policy, we are all Canadian, one people, not a bunch of seperate ethnic groups. That racist, pack mentality is crap.
My problem with Quebec is with the federal bureaucracy and transfer payments that fuck around the west. It is not an ethnic problem, it’s a financial one, to me.

People in the bank line up waiting for a specific teller, because he/she speaks their language. My girlfriend works in a doctor’s office, they also have a multilingual employee. Store signs with no english at all on them. Whole strip malls of stores with mutilingual signs, and the second language is not french. Its hard to ignore ethnic groups, when they wish to stay as such.
