one of my friends from taiwan has read most of the books in the series. i’ll ask him what they are called next time i talk to him.
That ‘invisible punch’ just seems like a party trick, along the lines of the classic standing with both hands out, palms down, and the other person stands with their open palms under your hands, and then flips their hand to slap the top of yours, before you can move it away, or trying to catch a dollar bill that is dropped between your fingers without you knowing when it will be dropped.
Not too impressive.
