It’s bullshit to stand up in a crowded room, out of the blue, and announce to everyone that you’re leaving. Nobody even had a clue that there was an issue to begin with and so yeah, it’s pretty hard for us to care if you don’t care enough about the community to post about anything other than the fact that you’re leaving.
If you’re quitting the community, just fucking quit. Don’t let the e-door hit you on the cyber-ass on your way out. There isn’t a single constructive reason for posting a thread like this; just a ton of self-serving, passive-aggressive, or disingenuous ones.
I didn’t really know VP like some of you though, so I don’t know if this is out of character for the guy.

At the risk of angering our omnipotent admin, I do not understand why this was moved to Trollshido. It was posted in YMAS, which is where I’d put a thread of this level. Especially since on the first page of YMAS we have such things as ‘Somoa Joe can beat Fedor’, ‘Quantum is not a McDojo’ and the derailed Moclair posts; all of which are more troll worthy than Koto/VP’s post.
Unless there’s something I don’t know about via PM, it seems perfectly reasonable for someone like Koto/VP to announce that he’s leaving; he’s a well known poster who might not want to be bothered by ‘Where the hell is Koto?’ PMs. For my two cents, the posts of VP that I’ve read have always been of a high a level as I’d expect from any intelligent poster on this site, and haven’t detected any hint of dis-satifaction with the site in his posts.

It was posted in the Bullshido subforum originally. Which in the context of recent staff decisions, could be a subtle “fuck you”. If not, then it was a blatant attempt at drama whoring by posting it in the highest traffic forum despite it being off topic.
I moved it to YMAS, then here after it became apparent there was no meaningful discussion to be had.
Fair enough then, I only first saw it in YMAS, and assumed that’s where it had been placed originally.
Why are you afraid of a derogatory title when all but one of the few handed out to date have been earned over the span of months or even years of terrible posting? Everyone who makes this complaint needs to spend (or rather, do) some time on another martial arts forum to put things in perspective.

I’m quite sure that such questioning of the ‘Will of The Mods’ would get me banned at places like MAP. That’s one reason why I stay around here, even someone like me can openly state their disagreement with the mods.
Let’s face it, at other sites you wouldn’t get the admin explaining their decisions without a huge revolt of posters; here I state my concerns and within the hour Phrost explains directly the context to me, as well as to anyone else who was also wondering the same.

in my experience, an out of the blue “fuck it, i’m gone” post from an a popular forum member usually indicates that somebody is at said poster’s computer, having fun at his expense.
or maybe he really is just pissed as hell that we got a new color scheme, but kept the tiny fonts.
