Firstly, i saw the person who posted as Real__Fighter Very Funny lol.
Secondly, ive been away for a while so i havnet had a chance to post in reply to all my critics. I do feel that 23 pages is too long for one thread, so id like to discuss another topic.
In my first thread i stated how Bjj would not be effective, I was then asked to visit a Bjj Class (Which i did) Now my opinion on BJJ Has changed.
In the class i challenged someone to fight, this is when i learnt Bjj can be effective. In my first fight, it was MMA rules, Naturally in this fight i won easily, The Bjj guy could not get close, even when he did he was usually the one who ended up on the ground. Lets just say Bjj isnt that great for takedoes/ closing the distance.
In my second fight, I agreed to not use any strikes and to grapple (starting from my knees, i guess he found it too hard to take me down) Now this is when i found out bjj is effective. It took me almost 10 minutes to beat him. Much longer than it took me to dismiss any jiudo guy.
The Bjj purple belt had some good moves/ reversals, Although many times i stoped to point out a flaw in his attack, showing how i could have done a palm heel strike to the nose or even used some pressure point attacks to disable him,
Eventually i won, when he got a cramp, i guess Bjj conditioning isnt too good? However i feel without cramp he could have lasted another 5 minutes in there with me, which is saying alot.
All in all i am impressed with Bjj and i might take a class or two in it, so i can learn to spar in a non aliveness type of way. I.e without hurting someone.
