Umm. No.
Just No.
Not trying to be a jerk, but I wanted to get in the martial arts to learn to fight, not to “learn” to be martial “ARTIST”.
Sweet mercy, this is some ignorant shit. What the fuck is wrong with motherfuckers these days?
Yes, YOU want to learn to fight. But what the Boxing China is saying that HE isn’t putting that much value on learning to fight because he doesn’t consider that to be one of life’s most necessary skills. Amirite up in here? Can I get an Amen? Can I?
Now, I’d be inclined to agree with you, chinabox. I’ve never fought in my life, but for the last 5 or so years I’ve been trying to train as hard as possible. Started out with kung fu, but ended up boxing. You know how it is.
I also realize that I may never fight, and if I’m developing skills I’ll never use, then I may be wasting my time.
But, I understand that this may be related to the art of it all. Now, this in no way makes Q-dot the vicious anything at all like a bitch ninja, no sir. Just the opposite.
Because, as you all must realize, each individual creates his own art and whatnot and has his own view of art. Personally, I find slipping punches, countering, smacking motherfuckers with shovel hooks to the ribs, and planting the hard part of your shin across a motherfuckers headside far more art-like than dancing around in a fancy asian costume, while doing some stupid shit that looks like the Crouching Tiger had an illegitimate child with the Iron Monkey. but that’s just me.
You know what it is for you, so you do what you do. Q-ball can’t be mad at that. As long as of course, you admit that you’re doing some ignorant shit and don’t pretend to be able to fight. Because life will beat your ass for some shit like that.
