I diagnose symptoms over the internet

Since many of you will actually be unfamiliar with sociopaths and how to recognize them, I recommend the book “The Mask of Sanity”, a landmark in the field by Dr. Hervey Cleckley. Cleckley gives case histories and the following summary of diagnostic characteristics. Cleckley used the term “psychopath”; the modern term is “sociopath”, or “personality disorder with antisocial reaction”. Cleckley’s list:

Characteristics

Cleckley introduced 16 behavioral characteristics of a psychopath:

 1. Superficial charm and good intelligence
 2. Absence of delusions and other signs of irrational thinking
 3. Absence of nervousness or psychoneurotic manifestations
 4. Unreliability
 5. Untruthfulness and insincerity
 6. Lack of remorse and shame
 7. Inadequately motivated antisocial behavior
 8. Poor judgment and failure to learn by experience
 9. Pathologic egocentricity and incapacity for love
 10. General poverty in major affective reactions
 11. Specific loss of insight
 12. Unresponsiveness in general interpersonal relations
 13. Fantastic and uninviting behavior with drink and sometimes without
 14. Suicide threats rarely carried out
 15. Sex life impersonal, trivial, and poorly integrated
 16. Failure to follow any life plan.

Can we please leave the internet diagnoses out of the thread. It’s enough to know that he has been caught falsifying his martial arts credentials, and is unqualified to teach. Let’s leave it at that.

Psst:

When you quote with live links, make sure they work correctly. Also, we are not here to diagnose people over the internet. So, this post will be removed because, this discussion has already occurred and ended.

Second attempt to post –

Since many of you will be unfamiliar with diagnostic characteristics of sociopaths, I recommend the book The Mask of Sanity by Dr. Hervey Cleckley. Cleckley made the first major studies of sociopaths; he gives many case histories and proposes 16 diagnostic characteristics. Cleckley used the term psychopath; the more modern term is sociopath or, lately, antisocial personality disorder. Whatever you call them, they are persons to be avoided.
lol half the people i know fit most of those things, don’t think into it too much, internet psychologists are the worse
Really? Lack of remorse, egocentricity, insincerity, anti-social behaviour?

Either you hang around in a home for the criminally deranged, or you need some new friends pronto.

Because they’re dicks, if nothing else.

Maybe he’s a republican.

Actually, I’ve met quite a few people who fulfil most of the above criteria. Worked alongside them, mostly.

Two post with links that don’t work wow.

Also, you need to link the website you took that from otherwise, it is a form of plagirism.

Thanks.
