I critiqued an article then spouted the same stupidity

Please, if you’re going to teach people about ki, teach them all, do not simply tell them ripped-off techniques from TV.

The last post was 4 years ago, noob. Don’t necro threads without substantial content.

Better yet, head over to newbietown (where trolling is not allowed) and introduce yourself.

After that, lurk more, post less.

I wasn’t replying to the last post, I was commenting on the article itself. It’s obviously just something he thought was cool so he posted it here, but he doesn’t even know very many actual techs. He shouldn’t be teaching ki at all here, and if anyone is lucky enough to read my comment, they’ll know to learn it somewhere else, somewhere that won’t make them look like fools if they try to use it.

No. If someone has a mental age over 8 then they will know not to take instruction from the post. It’s about ki for gods sake, might as well be plans for how to build a UFO.

He didn’t post it so anyone can learn form it, he posted it so we could laugh at it.

Do you sincerely think that ki is not real? Think about this, china, japan, and india were full of people. Smart people, lots of them were probably smarter than you, and they believed in it. In hindu it is called prana, in chinese it is called qi, and in japanese it is called ki. While this document is complete bull, the actual concept is not. Would you really venture so far as to say that the chinese, hindu, and japanese cultures were basically idiots with no skepticism? I’m not expecting you to believe me, as you have no proof, but I’ve seen and done many things with ki, things that are unexplainable otherwise. For example, in Nevada, someone I know called Ricky made it snow. Think about that… snow in the desert… he even showed me a video of it, though, I’ll admit he could have faked it, but I’ve never known him to lie. I also did something similar, are you familiar with the F5 tornado that hit Tuscaloosa, Alabama? Well, there was supposed to be a second storm, and I didn’t believe my house could take it, so I stopped the storm, and guess what? There was no second storm. Ki is very real, and these techs are only a few, stupid as well, of the techs out there.

At this point of your post, I thought you were an idiot who buys arguments from popularity, but possibly sincere.

Here’s where you jumped the shark and made your trolldom plain. To be honest, Ricky alone was too much.

No, it doesn’t matter what you were replying to, it was a four year old thread. Your post isn’t reason enough to bump a thread.http://www.bullshido.net/forums/showthread.php?t=19745

You protected your house, but didn’t help anyone else? You are a selfish bitch.

This is called Argumentum ad Populum and is a major logical fallacy. There was a time when most of the world believed the Earth was flat. There was also a time when people believed the sun circled the Earth. More recently in the US, there was an opinion held by a majority that whites were superior to other races. These examples and others clearly illustrate that the Bandwagon Argument does not fly. Just because something is a minority belief does not make it untrue.

Here we have three possible things.

One is called confirmation bias. You didn’t want it to continue to storm, so you flexed and strained and grunted and perhaps shit yourself a little bit and there was no storm. You believe ki is real and you grunted at the storm, ergo you must have effected it somehow. You’ve spent significant time honing your imaginary ki and it would be a significant impact to you if it weren’t true. After all, with the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus gone, what do you have left?

The second is something even more fun, which is honestly where you seem to be hanging out. The wonderful world of magical thinking. Like a schizophrenic who believes that he can decode the messages in white noise or that if he or she doesn’t think happy thoughts at their child all day they will be killed, you believe that your internal thoughts effect the outside world.

The third is out and out bullshit.

Hahaha I almost posted that logical fallacy and was too lazy.
This is called Argumentum ad Populum and is a major logical fallacy. There was a time when most of the world believed the Earth was flat.
Actually this a common myth. The majority of the world has basically never believed the earth was flat.

Especially not in middle age and renaissance Europe.

However, just as its basically a myth that the majority believed in a flat earth, its also a myth that the majority of people in Japan and China believed in chi/ki as our troll friend would have us believe.

Do you sincerely believe that Zeus is not real? Think about this, Greece, Rome, and Egypt were full of people. Smart people, lots of them were probably smarter than you, and they believed in it. In Egypt he was called Amun, in Rome he was called Jupiter, and the Greeks called him Zeus. Would you really venture so far as to say that the Egyptian, Roman, and Greek cultures were basically idiotic and had no skepticism? I’m not expecting you to believe me, as you have no proof, but I’ve seen and done many things with Zeus, things that are inexplicable otherwise.

For example, in Nevada, someone I know called Hercules could kill the Nemean Lion. Think about that… Nemean Lion… He even showed me a video of it, though, I’ll admit he could have faked it, but I’ve never known him to lie.

I also did something similar, are you familiar with fire? Well, there was not supposed to be any fire for humans, and guess what? I stole it from Zeus, and there was fire for everyone. Zeus is very real.

“You protected your house, but didn’t help anyone else? You are a selfish bitch.”

Did you not read the whole thing? I stopped the storm, no storm to damage other people’s houses. How was I supposed to know the state of other houses when my own is surrounded by woods and the road was literally impassible, littered with so many trees that it was basically an obstacle course.
“You protected your house, but didn’t help anyone else? You are a selfish bitch.”

Did you not read the whole thing?
Yes, the first storm hit and you only stopped the second one because YOUR HOUSE COULDN’T TAKE IT.

I stopped the storm, no storm to damage other people’s houses. How was I supposed to know the state of other houses when my own is surrounded by woods and the road was literally impassible, littered with so many trees that it was basically an obstacle course.

It is a fucking F5 TORNADO do you really need to KNOW? I mean this is an example of the joke where “assume” doesn’t “make an ass out of u and me.”

Please troll smarter.

I would love to see you repeat this and any of this second hand account bullshit you’re peddling but get a video camera and a simple GPS unit so we can see your point of view from the storm and track public satellite data with the GPS location in order to determine the source of the storm’s end.

Also, don’t try to pull the smart people believe it so it must be true bullshit. Smart people are just as gullible or even more so than regular people and if you don’t believe me ask the scam artists on the internet responsible for the Nigerian Prince operation and other simple con games. Hell, Sir Isaac Newton was working on a doomsday prophecy before he died and Plato thought the entire world was only comprised of 4 different things.

Smart people today are smarter than their forefathers because science and knowledge are created standing on the shoulders’ of of giants and since I think your too stupid and gullible to know what that means it boils down to we know what we know now because we have what our predecessors had to discover themselves. Chi/Qi/Ki or whatever the snake oil you bathe in doesn’t and will never exist because no one in the thousands of years that this idea has existed has ever been able to show it in an unbiased objective study or experiment.

And yet with access to so much power, neither you, nor anybody else possessing these awesome ki abilities, has won the JREF’s million dollar prize. How sad.

Wow, you’re bringing that up. If you really want to see why, go look at their forums. They disqualify people for no reason. For example, lady claimed to be able to force a man to cry or wet himself, she did so in a controlled environment created by JREF, and they disqualified her without any reason known to me or specified in the article.

Links and sources please.
Edit.

Funny how, in 2007, they had videos up and everything. Too bad you found it late.

So, go search for the videos.

Hey Emrysmerlin, can I get twos up on those UFO plans?

Hey Bro, people here are mean and heretics. Just last night it got real dark out and I went out and raised my arms and sure enough, this morning it got light again. (You’re welcome you fucking heretics.) Later today, I’m going to stand on the corner and make traffic stop with my mind and a traffic light.
