Homeopatic posh hippie shit at 4 dollars per litre.

The purpose of the bag is to develop power, endurance and drill combinations something you can’t do on a person, definitely not the power and endurance part. Which is why i’ve never heard of a boxer that trains without a bag.
Combinations need to be natural and instinctive. Your body needs to learn how to do the movements efficiently. That kind of high rep work is better suited on a bag. Horses for courses.
You use a moving fighting back opponent to develop other qualities and to stitch it all together.
Edit: I can see what you are saying makes sense for grappling, but you need the bag in something like boxing. You’ll need it in muay thai, sanda, etc. as well.
Depends how badly you need that sparring to get good.
A lot of places are moving to more technical sparring to reduce injuries.
I totally agree.
I have drank a lot of black tea, green tea, etc. It does nothing for the osteoarthritis, but thanks for the advice, anyway.
I don’t think you grasp (lol), the magnitude of my joint problems. But that’s OK.
I’m not sure why you turn everything into some sort of pissing contest, either.
And you can keep your soft hands to yourself, LOL.
Thanks, that stuff tastes like shit, I’ve tried it.
Yes, I was alluding to that sort of thing when writing about it taking a while to be able to do that safely, and with realistic complexity. However, my idea was to start simple, and work up as skill and thus safety allowed.
Technical sparring, yeah, I did a lot of that teaching Judo. Pretty descriptive term.
I understand the point you’re trying to make. But I was telling him he should run because he was out of shape in muay thai class. Muay Thai traditonally incorporates alot of running into their training.
That’s not even what homeopathic means.
Green tea extract studies have been mainstream, peer reviewed medical science for decades. Evidence supporting green tea’s antioxidant, antiinflammation, and cancer preventative qualities is pretty overwhelming.
“Green tea and green tea polyphenols have been shown to have anti-cancer activity in a number of laboratory studies, which could be mediated through antioxidant or pro-oxidant mechanisms.”
This is due to the anti-inflammatory properties of polyphenols, another wide range of useful chemicals derived from plants.
You’re both totally wrong.
Pissing contest? He just claimed green tea extract is “homeopathy” and you agreed.
It might not be for you, but don’t start down the path of calling a proven mainstream medical research pseudoscience. That’s not allowed here.
Maybe you can’t get decent green tea in Idaho.
It’s not a pissing contest.
Probably meant to say naturopathy, people confuse those terms all the time. Whatever label you put on it, tea ain’t doing shit for Ben’s osteoarthritis.
What worked for me was titanium.
I honestly didn’t expect this thread to turn out this well. I was expecting a bunch of people just nutriding bjj.
It is kind of nutride worthy but in a strange way.
If someone said they wanted to do a martial art. Without giving any other information. I would recommend BJJ.
As it is sort of the definition of the middle ground.
It is just a safe dependable system that you can use for almost anything. Get almost anywhere. And you can walk in to new schools with your current belt. And just pick up where you left off.
I think the networking of BJJ is their biggest contribution to martial arts.
We are a holiday destination. And BJJ is now a thing people do when they travel to meet local communities. And this means clubs are constantly interconnecting and sharing ideas in a way that was not done before.
And i think that is a massive improvement in martial arts culture.
I will use this as an example. (And admittedly it is MMA) But this is a club but also an outreach program for veterans.
And is the sort of thing this integrated culture creates.
The guy who runs that (rob) was also the guy we shipped in to grade me for my purple belt. He is a really good guy.
It was totally on purpose
Naturopathy is still the wrong term to use.
I think the world you’re looking for is “science”.
Unless you consider a polyphenol antioxidants are naturopathy, which is wrong.
Next you’ll be telling me chocholate milk isn’t one of the best post exercise drinks, according to the scientific method.
Even for BJJ
This reminds me of those old commercials where they said, “milk it does your body good.”
