pardon my ignorance here, but isn’t the Korean army MA pretty much sanda but with more yelling?
TGMS is a mishmash of arts, mostly alive arts like judo and sanda and Muay Thai, which permits more alive application of traditional arts like TKD and Shaolinquan, for flair.
That low ma bo in the picture is definitely Chinese (sei ping dai ma bo), though, and I think it’s a way of showing the PRC “hey, we can do it too”.
