First off, margaritas are not meant to be frozen, slushy, or sweet. Put away the fucking blender and make them right.
Here is how to do it:
3 ounces of premium white tequila. (gold tequila is just white tequila with caramel added)
2 ounces of triple sec (again the better quality you use, the better the outcome)
1 ounce of lime juice (fresh squeezed is best)
3/2/1 ratio
Salt your glass with kosher salt, add ice to the glass, garnish with a lime wedge, and serve.
You can subsitute the triplesec with whatever flavor liquer. I like Midori. Agree with the blender shit. Just on the rocks is good…in a fishbowl if you are like me though.
and my cuts are a little different, but I am no bartender
2 shots Tequila
1 shot triple sec/Midori
1 shot lime or sweet and sour … some people like 2 shots, I like mine to put hair in places it don’t belong.
Well now, we may be able to work something out afterall. But I’m mixing the drinks!
Also similar drink that is my current drink of choice is the sidecar. 2 parts brandy, 1 part cointreau/triple sec, 1 part lemon juice. Stir with ice, serve in a cocktail glass with a sugared rim.
