How come groin kicks are banned in competition?

It’s not like we don’t have cups that are strong enough to take away enough pain. I mean it’s a great way to close the distance and to dodge.

but then again I’m I krav guy. We love the ball shots (lol jk)

yes, it is. cups are there to prevent trauma to rather delicate organs. that’s it.

I’ve heard a cup break. I have heard horror stories of cups breaking. I watched a guy run out of sparring because his balls were pinched. I threw a spinning back kick and a guy thought he’d be cute and do a Jump X-block. He disappeared for a week because, his entire groin region was bruised. He could barely walk. I’ve watched boxers go down.

Yeah, no.

I’ve seen two cup breaks at TKD tournaments, and a host of cup related ball smashing incidents. Evidence suggest that allowing groin kicks would not be a pleasant decision for anyone.

Everytime a krav guy talks about groin shots a little baby kitten dies.

Fortunately those smart enough to protect their junk will be more likely to reproduce. Darwin wins again.

Hay guise! I liek to hit peepul in the ballzors. Y don’t MMA dudez leik to hit peepul ther?" is not a topic that is suitable for the Advanced Striking forum.

It’s a tired topic that belongs in YMAS on a good day, but today we have special for you.

Trollshido.

The inside leg kick has the same set ups, almost the same action, is a lot less likley to cause permenent injury and still hurts like the dickens when you hit somone with it.
So If you are hell bent on compitition throw those instead.

Actually If I were to teach groin kicking I would just drill the inside leg and tell people to go up about 20 cm on their own time If they feel the need.

“…it’s a great way to close the distance…”

This troll amuses me.

NoGroinNoKrav?

But what about those poor souls who were born without a groin?

For them, there is always aikido.

Pushups.

I love how his name is basically a quote from a Simpson’s episode a few weeks ago.

Part of your training is watching others spar, but no spar time yourself is bad.

Googles tai otoshi The Krav answer would be a kick in the balls.

Post #14 excised from: Good counter for tai otoshi? - No BS MMA and Martial Arts

You’re either not funny or a moron.

this is exactly why i’d never do kravmaga.
their ‘answer’ to everything is a shitty answer.
a groinkick is a knee or foot coming towards your body, as is a eye poke a part of the hand coming at your face.
it’s a mystery to me how people can believe a trained amateur or fighter suddenly doesnt know how to block when a kick is a bit off or a finger is coming at them instead of a fist.
