Setting the DVR as we speak…

"… On Sunday night, History Channel will present a fantastically detailed special on what, at first, sounds insane, but is nonetheless true: “How Bruce Lee Changed the World.” It’s something untold millions of Bruce Lee fans have known for four decades.

So how did a martial arts guy, who died at age 32, change the world?

Lee, you’ll learn, changed not only cinema – remember, he produced the first martial arts movies without special effects and turned himself into the first ever Asian superstar – but music, arts, fitness, martial arts, body building and, oh yes, philosophy.

Lee also invented mixed martial arts – which is now a multi-multi million dollar industry. (The last pay-per-view Mixed Martial Arts Championship earned $50 million!) …"

Oh boy… here we go again…

If BL really wanted to change the world, he wouldn’t have cancelled out on Roman and Sharon the day the Manson family showed up. Now that could have changed the world.

Even if he didn’t invent MMA, he did save Bosnia. We must not forget that.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is better.

Fix’d.

If you need a change of pace there are some awesome “Street vs Sport” and “Wing Chun iz 2 Deadly” threads I could point you to.

When does that Bruce Lee theme park open again?

Bruce Lee & Elvis are the same person,
and he’s hiding in Logan, Utah!

Meh… saw the trailer and figured it would blow through here like shit through a fan.

Bruce Lee, to paraphrase Sean Micheals, is that annoying little nugget you just cant seem to flush.

Most people don’t know that Bruce Lee invented bling. Yes, yes he did.

Turned it on this evening expecting a lot of stupid shit to be said. I wasn’t disappointed. I’m surprised they didn’t play a clip of Bruce eating a ham sandwich and claim we have him to thank for sliced bread.

I got the distinct feeling Shannon Lee and her mother were whoring/milking Lee’s image and legacy for all they could get.

What did BL plagarize? I understand he’s unpopular here, but I want to understand the arguments against his philosophy more concretely.

wow mother fucker invented protein?! and electroshock therapy?! sweet.

He didn’t plagiarize, publishers plagiarized for him. He borrowed lots of his personal philosophy from others and his personal essays detailing that philosophy were published posthumously.

Once again, you idiots are being stupid and useless again. I caught this tonight and other than the insane JKD nuthugging, it was pretty nice.

They didn’t say he invented protein drinks or use electric stimulation machines. Just that he popularized it and was using it far before anybody else was going to.

I think the only thing they really stressed was how much he revolutionized a lot of different things and popularized martial arts, WHICH HE IN FACT DID.

You are now just being dumbshits for the sake of being dumbshits. Thank you for not surprising me in the slightest, dumbshits.

Seriously, assholes. Give credit where it is due.

I’ll make a pretty easily understood analogy here.

This is kind of like Christianity. I like Jesus. I think that the dude is pretty fucking awesome. People should be more like him… you know, wise, well-read, intelligent, NOT a douche. But the assholes who made a religion following him? Fuck them. Also fuck the assholes who follow the assholes who made a religion following just to find reasons to get indignant with them.

Seriously, fuck both sides of the coin. I hope you all drown.

sarcastro= Depressed rage.

Bruce lee couldn’t have invented all that stuff because he’s not Korean
