THREE people ended up in hospital after a fight involving a hockey stick and a sword at a home in southern New South Wales.
A 23-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman carrying a hockey stick went to the home in Smith Street, Albury, where a 30-year-old male resident had armed himself with a sword, police said.
The 30-year-old man was left with fractures to his skull and face, as well as eye injuries.
He was taken by ambulance to Albury Base Hospital where he underwent surgery.
The 23-year-old man suffered serious cuts to his arm, while the 32-year-old woman had a small cut to her head, as well as bruising.
The pair took a taxi to the same hospital before emergency services arrived about 5pm (AEDT).
