BULL RUSH ON TheFasm4!!!
Ashida Kim had some knowledge… How to create a ridiculous alter-ego, for instance.
Welcome to Bullshido.
We’ve had a few members from Greece pass through here, but they never seem to stay.
Hope you do, even if you are a ninja
Where have you been studying Bujinkan and for how long? Do you guys do weapons training at all? You should do a dojo review!
Welcome to BS!
I 've been studying Bujinkan for less than a year. Two years on/off total.Yes, we do weapons training including katana, kusari, sais, bo, jo, disarming, shuriken, and my personal favorite, the kamas.
My sensei is the head of the Bujinkan Greece association, Mr. Kostas Kanakis.
Hogfather, i ain’t no ninja dude xD…(i wish i was, but i guess i can’t keep my ass in the dojo for more than 3 months at a time…)
Does anyone know can i put on an avatar and a sig?
I’m thinking going back to my Bujinkan Dojo soon, can some of you lads give me proof that it doesn’t work without making me look like a complete retard?
And can i have your notions on Systema?
Thank you.
there’s a post requirement of 1000 posts for an avatar, I think.
No sure about a sig… try your control panel.
1000 posts?Isn’t that a little too much?..
Come on, man, that’s only 986 away.
Show some fortitude.
Hahaha, yeah, i should do that, cheers! x)
So, are you practising any MA or just frolicking here to waste your time?
I got mine without 1000 posts because I can put my Ch’i into the interwebz and make it do whatever I want…
Actually, I never had to deal with anything to put in my avatar or signature. It was just in my options under the user control panel somewhere. Quite simple. Then again, I might be wrong. I might just be able to use them because of my $20 payment to become a supporting member… Worth trying, though, just to be sure.
Lame… xD
Yeah, I have to wait too unless I shell out $20. I guess I could but frankly I’m a cheap ass.
TheFasma4, what lineage does your weapons kata/forms come from? Just curious. I dabbled in Katori Shinto Ryu and we had many of the same weapons except for no kamas or shuriken. I’m not sure what a kusari is but I’ll look it up right now.
Anyway, good luck with the studies and your post count!
:pancakebu
If I’m not mistaken, the Booj practice “Togakure Ryu”
Is what your training with a kusari-kama or a kusari-fundo? Either way, burly. Do be careful!
As Mr.Zaohu said, we are based on Togakure Ryu, ancient martial art, or more precise, a system of martial arts which consists of anything from horse riding to swiming, including weaponless practise.
We do not have katas nor forms. Our training is made of moves that make the body to respond faster in that area. With the Katana for example, we noobs would do downward cuts for an hour.Just downward cuts, nothing more, nothing less. The sensei would spar with an older student as well, or make the student defend bare-handed against the Boken of the sensei. The moves we use are short, fast, not very “fancy” to the eyes of the viewer. We strike fast, and we try to do the job with one move.
My sensei would get very pissed if anyone took a “Ninja turtle” stance, instead of the relaxed one he taught us.He used to bug me all the time, because due to my Kung Fu training, i used to go to low horse stances with solid unmovable legs and very stressed muscles. He used to say “Alex here is a Ninja!Don’t mess with him or he will vanish and cut your head off while you sleep!” and pat me in the back laughing.Thats why i hate people in here calling us Ninjers or Ninjas or whatever.I’m a shinoby.I practise Bujinkan Ninjutsu.I know it works.I 've used it against Kung Fum, TKD, aikido, streetfighters and it served me well. And yes, i love my black uniform and my tobi shoes.Hell, i would even cover my head if the sensei would let me.
Kusary is a piece of chain.Similar to the one you use to lock your bike.Or a rope.Anything will do.
What about you mate?Sambo i see.Russian martial art, isn’t it?
All three, kusari, kusari-gama and kusari fundo.Kusari gama is the most difficult to handle of course.
Don’t worry, we use wooden equipment so we don’t cut our fingers off while we sparr.
That’s cool. Downward strokes for an hour seems a little excessive but if it floats your boat.
To be honest I don’t know the exact lineage of the sambo I’m taking. Some days we do jujitsu-like moves, others are sambo-ish; at least, that’s my understanding. We don’t wear kurtka’s, just regular ol’ shorts/rash guard, etc. I have no ground game, so it was a natural choice.
For curiosity’s sake, you mentioned that you’ve used Bujinkan Ninjutsu against TKD, aikido, etc. , what venue were these, for lack of a better word, matches held in? Have you ever sparred with someone whose primary discipline was grappling?
NOT TROLLING, I SWEAR!! Just curious.
I don’t even know what trolling is, so dont worry.
I ve fought with a great bunch of guys.TKD guy got powned in secs.He tryed to kick my ribs, i just went to the side and palm striked his chest while steping on his other leg.He just fell.
Aikido guy tryed to use that shit on me by grapping my sleeves.I bet he didn’t even see that knee coming up from below.Judo guy, he came like a bull, we had a great deal of fight. He brought me down and tryed to pin me, but the old-style finger-crush got him off me fast. From then it was simple a matter of time before he gave up.Kung fu guy knocked me out once.He stepped on my foot while throwing an uppecut.I hadn’t time for both, so i got the uppercut and went down.Next round, he rushed to attack me and left his side open, so i arm-locked him and brought the fight to the ground, where he tapped.
All fights were planned and were only for fun.Nothing serious, but nothing pancy either.I ve had some nice punched in my face and ribs.I sparr occasionaly with the kung fu guy, and i must say he is quite skilled.I have only had a street fight when 5 guys attacked me on my way home in an alley.I wasn’t doing Ninjutsu then, not that it would help much…
I got beat up, not hospital bad, bad not fun either.
I cant say i used ninjutsu in the fights above, since i am a new student yet, but i have had some great experience from them. You should try sparring too, whenever you get the chance.
