Mr Browning, I am not a martial Arts instructor. I am a parent and my child has been in the martial arts for a couple years. I know all the mess that went down with Mr Dillion. He visited our school several times but never did anything even when dressed. I am not impressed with the man and think he is full of himself. He has spoken to me and my child a few times . My child is very uncomfortable around him. He tries to do too much to impress kids and people. He may be good with kids, I heard he wasnt allowed to be around his own. His daughter and son took classes with my child. Im just saying I read the above comments and an eleven- twelve year old doesnt write like that. Mr Dillon manipulates people and you would think he knew somewhat what he talked about til you are around him for a while.
People will LIE and get off on spreading untruths. I know Mr Boggs and have a great respect for the man. My child is a different and better person because of him and the Martial Arts. My child was flunking school and was very introverted. Today he has been on the B honor roll most of the year and is starting to play other sports. His teachers say he has done a complete 360 fron what he was last year. He now believes in himself and takes the initiative to step up and be a leader. Isnt that what Martial Arts supposed to be Mr Browning. I just dont think Mr Dillon is a ggod man. But that is my opinion. I couldnt sit quiet and read these blogs without saying something, while everyone else is feeling sorry for the man. I wish him well. Just would never let him around my children.

Mr. Browning, just saw your post wondering if you are one of the instructors that teaches with Sensei Dillon at the Madison dojo? I have been training with Scott Dixon off & on for a couple of years now. Do you by chance know a fighter by the name of Josh Cooper?
Sensei Dillon got his shodan rank under David Eastwood who supposedly made him go into a redneck bar and fight his way out as part of his test. I was told by a student and close friend of Mr. Dillon’s that Eastwood went to prison and as a result Mr. Dillon left him and chose to go with another organization where he was promoted to 3rd dan. So its no wonder that Eastwood would never defend Sensei Dillon’s character or claim him as a student. Sensei Dillon has trained with many WV martial artist including, Carlos Turner, Ron Wilkerson, Billy Washington and Master Roger Jarrett (where he was offered a teaching position). So the guy must not be all that bad!

I was oulled to this site becuse of al the bs flying around. if you are uncomfortable with the guy dont go to his school, there are lots of teachers .otherwise why not let him be… many cant because they are shit stirrers or manipulated by others behind the scenes. I am not sure what to make of this except he is trying to better peoples lives thru the arts and we r arm chair critics of what ever he is doing. as well as the rest of this site. as far as him full of himself … I have yet to meet any martial artist that is not a little cocksure of himself. The article itself has a few facts and comments that were wrong. as far as people being sorry for him… i dont think that was the case at all. when he first was arrested we all couldnt wait to jump on the band wagon. Then he was found not guilty an his kid had acces to this bullshit. what worse I bet at least one of the rumor mongers were there in front of his kids spreading their disease.you that have supported him or at least had empathy to him… at least your trying to be positive. as far as the parent who has the kid with boggs. stay with boggs. that is where the budo of the art grows.your bond to your sensei. time will tell if he is a bullshitter or you are… or you are just bullshitting yourself !!

Yeah, honestly, what the fuck? Adults having consensual sex is legal. Giving people money is legal. Doing the one in exchange for the other is, for some reason, illegal in many places, but how the hell would accepting someone’s offer of sex translate into molesting a child? There’s no indication whatsoever that the incident suggested that the man had any tendency to make unwelcome advances on anyone, let alone children.
I making my last post here to try an d get a few of the facts straight. be4 dillon is made out to be a monk or a criminal.
josh cooper is a good fighter who visits dixons dojo from time to time . he is quoted as saying he left boggs dojo becuase he went to a bjj dojo an was being submitted by white belts. nothing but cudos for cooper…Dixon is a friend of dillons as well as training from time to time. Dixons class rocks. from what dixons close friends say he was willing to give it up if not for dillon encouraging him to teach and start his own school. Ironically he was persecuted by boggs. as far as him standin round… guy has exercise indused asthma and cannot do the physical at times. on other occassions I dillon teach fight, grapple . self defense and instruct for 5 hour stretches. with breaks from his inhaler.
as far as dave eastwood goes. dillon has had nothing but good things to say about him. he did go to prison… 2 years before dillon met him. he left becuase he felt it was time to do so. as far as the bar fite belt test goes… it was not his black belt test. maybe an initiation test to see if he could handle the pressure. those elkview boys were no bullshitters… especially if your head instuctor was pres. of the pagans… as far as claimiming he did not know dillon??? I was at boggs tourney and overheard boggs and wollum dogging dillon… then when they were pubically told he was legit they were embarrassed to silence. Funny he has never said anything bad about boggs though… yet when the parents who stayed with him were promted about his leaving boggs and continue teaching in madison… they commented that wollum and some guy named allen was trying to turn the school into somekind od cash cow for boggs and a few other personal conflicts with dillon and wollum that dillon would not talk about. allen cussed out a couple of parents and they tried to get money back from merchandixe ordered that was not gven and some shady pepsi deal that feel thru with wollum.
yet he still does not say anything negative bout boggs. even thogh lowes was verified having a video feed of boggs spitting on dillon in their parking lot. boggs seems to be the child here. Dillon should have busted him for assult. but did not… did he take the high road . was he afraid of retribution from boggs… all dillon said was he is Sensei.yet did not deny it happened. Spitting on someone … just the type of guy I want giving ethical advice to my kids. hell I would have put it on youtube.
As far as the rank goes… black belt with eastwood in 95 went to another group and they gave him additional rank, he was then set to up rank again till he went thru his divorce and they promoted his brown belt to shodan .a purely political move to try an keep a hold in the state with their organization, dillon felt betrayed and backed out of the organization,other rank have com from worthy organizations…

I see other guest instructors come in to his dojo and train the students and they are some of the best in the state. and they have a good repore with dillon. I have observed him filming the traing session with out interferring with the instructor. does not sound like an egomaniac…he does know and have trained with a few wv martial artists.none of them has offered him a teaching position though. ron wilkerson thought enough of him in 2001 to support him teachin upward bound to minority an d underpriv. kids. he went to other dojos an d has periodically trained with turner, wilkerson and yes even jarret . many years ago. dillon is in his mid to upper 40s now. not the athlete I remember from his football and track days. yet he still seems to plug on trying to give something to the kids. I hear he is giving his time this week to the cub scouts… for free…
as far as the mom who says the kid is uncomfrotable with dillon, maybe dillon is uncomfortable with you… this whole thigs is pissing me off, i mite even start to like they guy and name my first born after him… not!!! haha

Since you’re writing is so confusing I’m not sure if you are saying that I’m this guy. For the record I’m not.
Anytime someone in the public eye gets arrested for the charges brought against him/her, there will always be repercussions and allegations of what actually happened. In this case, I see a lot of he said/ she said type of reponses from several people. I do agree what happened was part of his private life and should remain that way, but people being the way they are and some for no good reason want to extend this further into his own personal life and bring out the what ever dirt they can find on the man and use that to create their own spin on him. IMO to those parents that worry about this sort of happening, your kids are around this man for what, maybe an hour or 2 a week and you are there to observe ? If you have been there for any length of time you should have already made up your mind whether that school is good for your kids or not. Whatever he does on his own time is his business as long as it doesn’t interfere with his duties or undermines what he is trying to teach everone there. A lapse in judgement does not make him a criminal by any means. Give the mean a break and let him teach what he does and it does sound like he’s trying and more kudos to him for that…
