Helio goes on to say the secret of gracie jiu jitsu is that only gracie jiu jitsu has secret street fighting applications…lol the secret was to hold on to your oppionint intill he gets tired and gives up or slips up. He says thats way the gracie family in undefeted in MMA. he says he hates time limits because you cant stay in their gard long eough for thier oppionint to lose the will to go on and either submit of make a mistake. thats why in the rematch with royce vs shamrock all royce did was keep shamrock in the gard. Mastering JuJitsu contains a fairly well researched history of BJJ and some of its related grappling arts. Yeah the websites tend to go a bit odd, but that book is worth reading for those interested in the history and development of BJJ.
