Florida Judo Elections

F.J.I. election for President on July 10, 2010. At this time there are 4 candidates in the running. #1 Gerry Navarro: the current President of F.J.I., coach of Panther Judo and Director of the jr US OPEN and FLORIDA OPEN. He is also very well connected in USA JUDO. #2 David Ellis: head USJA referee. Fair, Just and Impartial. One of the nicest guy you’ll ever meet. #3 Bill Andreas: I have no info on this gentleman, other than to say, he is a USJA supporter and member. #4 DR. Ricardo Menendez: Head Coach at Falcon Judo School. A Medical Doctor, which brings professionalism to the position. Has 3 children involved in Judo, both sons are ranked nationally. Do you know any of the above mentioned candidates? Any opinions or suggestions you would like to share? May the best man win.

This is how I see it. Personally, I would only be able to support David Ellis or Dr. Ricardo Menendez - here is why. The current president (IMHO) is unfair, selfish, devisive, one sided, and is only interested in helping himself. He needs to go. While candidate #3 seems to be an irrelavent figure, as far as I can tell. The other two I would support are both hard working, respected members of the Judo community, and either one would fight hard to restore Florida Judo. If I were pressed to pick one candidate right now, Dr. Ricardo Menendez gets my vote. A great father and family man, Sensei and coach, professional (DR.), a humanitarian and a great friend. David Ellis is also a quality guy, and I beleive, he also would do a great job.

Even though you say it’s just your opinion, I’d still like to hear exactly how he is unfair, selfish, devisive, one sided, and/or only interested in helping himself. Source pls.

Source pls.
The fact you are from England should disqualify you from having any interest on this topic… but since you ask. He is someone who feels it’s never enough, even if he already has it all. Uses his power and connections to recruit players from other clubs by offering grants, financial help and even free classes. Takes his own players to international competitions over others who are ranked higher, but train at a different dojo than his (5 of his students are training in Cuba and competing at the Cuban jr Olympics as you read this post). Monopolizes Judo tournaments in Florida. Turns one group/dojo against the other. Favors only his club and that of his new amigos from Ki-itsu-sai. Awards his team all 1st place team trophies at all his own tournaments, yet can’t even place at any other tournament not run by him. He is arrogant, pompus, conceited and rude. I would also like to say, I am not the only one who feels this way. We need a change.

That’s a lot of claims… do you have any proof?

That’s a lot of claims… do you have any proof?
All you have to do is look at the pools from any jr US OPEN (he is the director). You’ll see his players and those from the other club I’ve mention get a first round bye, in the easy side of the pool, matched up with only non ranked players. How do I prove personality? Meet him and you’ll be convinced.
:spanky:

I see where you are coming from but the fact is that you can’t be so arrogant to assume my interests.

I’m not from England, I just live here.

I’m not from England, I just live here.
Please explain how Florida Judo interests you. :911flag:

 1. I might be moving to Florida in a few months.

 2. I’ve been wanting to get into Judo officially for awhile now.

Is that enough for you? I’m new at Judo and the regulatory bodies are both fascinating and alien to me. I’m pretty sure they are a good idea but then tales like these put a blemish on the sport as a whole. So even if I didn’t have Florida in mind there is plenty of reason to want to hear the full story.

Especially if you have proof. Then maybe we can start some investigating. I would love to rid MA of all charlatans.

Let me get this right. You post a topic and then deem it necessary to tell people to basically shut the fuck up?

I like how you say you are going to change and the arrogance bleeds right through. Who gives a damn where he is from or if he ever moves to America? You answer the question or don’t but, quit the tired ass condescension.

The fact you are from England should disqualify you from having any interest on this topic… but since you ask.

You pimping kids and crying about expenses should disqualify you from posting in the JMA forum.

That ugly phrase you are refering to comes from “AUSTLANDER108” NOT me. Secondly, you asked me not to post my website or register twice, (which by the way, I explained what happened very clearly). I have done neither one since your warning. Please let it go. Thirdly, I dont pimp kids or anyone else. I promote players who are doing well in the sports I teach… Judo and Grappling, with full knowledge and consent from the parents. I find your remarks offenssive. Crying? I haven’t seen a tear of my own in decades. I’ve seen much worse than that in the short time I’ve been here though. Please let me be. Thanks :eusa_sile

As the Jr. US Open is a USA Judo sanctioned event, and an international one at that, have you lodged a complaint with proof of your accusations with USA Judo? I would think they would be interested in any sort of rigging of the brackets that might have occured.

^^^See this?

I haven’t mistaken you for anyone. You told someone to not ask a question when, you have no authority to do so. That is telling someone to shut the fuck up whether you use the words or not.
Stop.

Secondly, you made outrageous claims back them up.

Thanks for all the attention, but I could do without it. The claims I’ve made are all “IMHO” and have absolutely nothing to do with you. Saying someone should be disqualified from interest in a topic is far from saying “shut the fuck up”. Please find someone else to stalk, hound and harrass. I am not enjoying it, even though you might be.
:XXsmoker: :5thanks:

I live in Florida. Two of my close friends currently live in England. Just because they live in England, doesn’t mean they should shut out what happens in Florida. As if that is any of your business, you post a thread and then as opinions. The first people to give opinions or, ask about yours, you tell to piss off.

That tells me that you don’t want peoples opinions. You just wanted to bash the current Judo president on an open forum for people to see. Probably because you have an ulterior motive.

& threads spamming you website. Do we need to talk about obseesion? really? two websites, all with the names of your 5 year old jr chanpions, putting the exat same arguments on both, while crying about free speech and spamming you website.

If I am obsessed, you sre an OCD stalker of free advertising.

Thanks for all the attention, but I could do without it.

Then stop ordering people around when they, unlike you are, following proper posting procedures.

The claims I’ve made are all “IMHO” and have absolutely nothing to do with you.

You like telling people what doesn’t concern them don’t you? That condescenion makes you full of shit.

Saying someone should be disqualified from interest in a topic is far from saying “shut the fuck up”.

No, it is not.

Then quit being a douchebag and post your proof. “IMHO” doesn’t absolve you of anything if, you are shitting up the board and making it uncomfortable for others to post.

Some guy who should have been banned for spam starts fucking up. He argues that he has a right to free speech and will post what ever he chooses? As a mod, I’m supposed to not research whether you are worth the trouble?

Especially, when a member like BKR, who rarely posts, says you have created problems on the judoforum?

What;s IIF’s username on jf?

You are an ass. Here are the accusations you have made but provided no proof:

All in regaurds to current judo president (Florida):

 1. Uses his power and connections to recruit players from other clubs by offering grants, financial help and even free classes. = Needs Proof.

2.Takes his own players to international competitions over others who are ranked higher, but train at a different dojo than his (5 of his students are training in Cuba and competing at the Cuban jr Olympics as you read this post). = Needs Proof.

 1. Monopolizes Judo tournaments in Florida. = Needs Proof

 2. Turns one group/dojo against the other. = Needs Proof.

 3. Favors only his club and that of his new amigos from Ki-itsu-sai. = Needs Proof.

 4. Awards his team all 1st place team trophies at all his own tournaments, yet can’t even place at any other tournament not run by him. = Needs Proof.

 5. He is arrogant, pompus, conceited and rude. = Pot / Kettle

Most of those are not opinions but claims that require proof. Some of these are actually pretty serious and without proof you are just some egomaniac asshole who is trying to discredit someone. Back up what you have said or retract everything and apologize.

When you said “The fact you are from England should disqualify you from having any interest on this topic”

That is telling him to piss off. Whether you admit it or not. And I don’t know what band wagon you are talking about, because this is the first time I have ever heard of you. But I can already tell that I don’t like you.
