Favorite submission.

Guillotine.

I don’t know about easy, but it may be less risky.
If you do kimura from guard you don’t need to open the guard untill you have it in.
With juji from the guard you have to open the guard and there’s a split second when you are vulnerable.

Kimura from side control: you can maintain the side control while you are working for it. With juji you have to set it up and then spin into it and sit back = vulnerability.

Same from the mount. With kimura you can keep the mount/modified mount, just have to watch for upa. With juji you set it up and you have to spin in and sit back. Those are big motions and can be countered/exploited by your opponent.

But there must be reasons why it is more popular in grappling than kimura, so I guess it is “easier”.

Tomas

definately kimura/hammerlock/americana/keylock (yeah, I know it’s allota moves, but they’re all about the same to me), I probably get 80%+ (this stat made up) of my subs from the various shoulder locks, usually from northsouth (guy rolled on side pinned b/w your legs) or guard. I have a harder time finishing with mount/side-mount as I lose part of my base applying it and so finish in guard.

I love love loves me some shoulder-locks

Since this isn’t DHS, is the crucifix a submission or a hold or pin?

It’s a counter to a shoot, basically, double underhooks, which turns into a neck crank submission.

The simplest is still the best. KK is my personal favorite.

arm submissions i like a kimura with an aikido wrist lock, and the “paint brush”, chokes i like RNC, and kataha jime (head and arm triangle)…most of these you can work from any position…

I like the armbar. But from guard I cant get it as often as I like. Like previously said it is a little risky. I like armbar from mount. But other than that I tend to go for kimura

Umm. Someone provided a link to another thread similar to this, but just a fyi to that person this is submissions only. As i’d rather groundfight then strike.

Also someone mentioned the Achilies lock, I hate doing that one. I can pull it off and win with it, but some of the time I get tangled up in my own limbs. Needless to say it makes me feel reterded.

I suppose. I just like to poke at people because everything is “easy” when you know how. And everything is “hard” when you suck :stuck_out_tongue:

Bicep cutters and omoplatas, they’re just fun.

Both.

Huh? Sounds more like the reverse crucifix.

Question: what’s your favorite submission?

Answer: The one that makes them tap.

I’m surprised no one has said their favorite submission is to punch someone’s face until they give up.

My top 5 favourite submissions:

1 tapping out
2 yelling “HAYULP” at the top of my voice
3 threatening to tell my mummy
4 saying that I have AIDS, so he better stop hitting me
5 losing consciousness and possibly anal virginity

Purple Nurple.

EDIT: AKA Texas Tittie twister.

Juji-gatame is my most frequent submission by a very long way, probably accounting for more than half my subs, though much of the time I’m finishing it in some odd position lying on my side or face down. Lately the one I’m enjoying going for most is omoplata. The most attempted with least success is probably my sangaku-jime / triangle, which rarely ends in a good choke but frequently ends up giving me a decent arm submission.

I GET the armbar and various chokes the most. I LIKE the omaplata.

That’s not a crucifix…is it? Have I had this wrong the whole time?

:qleft6: Shotgun blast to the face, neck, and shoulder. :qleft6:
