Courses in basic Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Probability, Statistics, and advanced math.
Business courses: Principles of Accounting I & II, Personal Finance, Managerial Finance.
General Biology I & II, Microbiology, Chemistry I & II, Physics Classical Mechanics, Physics Optics, Physics Electricity and Magnetism.
Courses or apprenticeships in show Magic, close up Magic, Short Cons, Long Cons.
A careful study of the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights.
The study of law.

There are also a lot of excellent docu-dramas on cons, swindles, propaganda bullshit, government misconduct, religious malfeasance, etc, etc.
Spend some time working Carnivals, or Circus games.
