Their rules and the enforcement of them where way over the top but that aside I thought they were awesome.
Not sure if that is because Düsseldorf is so close to The Netherlands which I consider home to the coolest people on earth .

Nah man wine was awful , food was plain.
Worse yet some of the fighters turned up unvaccinated so the hotel wouldn’t let us have breakfast and instead made us “breakfast bags” which consisted of two white bread cheese or ham sandwiches a satsuma and bottle of water “
Problem with Germany is it is next to France and Belgium both of which shit on them from a great height when it comes to food and wine .
We had a few Bullshido throw downs in Leuven Belgium back in the day and the local bullies showed me the way with fine beers.
If you order a light beer in Belgium it’s 5.5-6% abv
They ordered me beer that was 12/13% and tasted heavenly .
The beef too was spectacular.
