havent been to the drag strip for a while because recently the only events that get any advertising are the ones for 4 and rotary events. i dont know if anyone here has ever been to a rota event but oh my fucking god, never again. the terms munter, bogan, dropkick, and FUCKING BLITHERING MORONS comes to mind. i dont know what it is about rotas that makes peoples pants hang off their ass, turn their hats sideways, and lower their iq to that of a fish, but i want no part in it. anyway. got a bad sunburn, got covered in rubber from many, many burnouts, witnessed quite a nasty crash which sent a beautiful 37 ford coupe rolling, and was such a position that i could watch the drags AND the bikini comp at the same time. great day.
this was the second V8 vs import drag event in NZ, last time the imports got completely destroyed, 45 wins to 4. much closer this year, 30-27 in favour of the V8s. no replacement for displacement.
