To properly troll you must at least feign interest or start a normal item and only make the appearance of stupidity;
IE: I was planning on taking Jeet Kune Do and this guy thinks says he’s a 5th degree blackbelt.
Then a guy like Boyd jumps in and says:
“Dude he’s obviously lying there’s no belts in Jeet Kune Do”
Then you reply:
“Sure there is I have documentation that Bruce Lee had several blackbelts and that he was pronounced 10th degree by the United Association of Sokeship”
Then Jenfuscious say:
“You’re a fucking moron I can’t believe you fell for this crap”
Then you lay in and say
“You’re just pissed because I anally raped your Dad last night with your mom’s dick! You’re only saying that stuff because I’m a newb, why don’t you prove to me he isn’t a 10th degree and we’ll talk”

Since Bruce never claimed to be a black belt and never awarded one, the distinction you raise does not apply. Also to the best of my knowledge, no one teaching JKD is going against Bruce’s wishes by awarding black belts.

No, you see that was a misprint. Bruce merely said that the belt doesn’t prove how good you are but it should. Linda Lee Cadwell made the correction in a 1992 Blackbelt magazine. It was later backed up by Dan Inasanto.
