Cull city baby

I don’t think his exercises are bad. I like the variety he gives in his books, although many get repeated. I think isometrics are generally the way to go.

If you make a complete high-arc with the hindu pushup and utilize focused deep-breathing it is a powerful exercise for entire body+core. The hindu squats are good, although if you have knee trouble and lean too far forward you can aggravate the knee. Keeping the back straight with those is important. The back bridge I like if for no other reason than to stretch the spine. I also like his combat abs magnificent 7 for maintaining flexibility.

A lot of what he says does make sense, like building flexibility and functional strength rather than just mass. Along with that let’s face it people: he’s a business man. Sure, his claims about exercises curing specific ailments may or may not be true, but we can all agree that exercise is a good thing for you.

I still don’t believe he’s a snake oil salesman, but I am weary about dropping around 100$ on his products in general. It just comes down to research, and this site (just found it) seems like a good place to start.

You reliase you’ve necro’d a thread that’s six years old and the person you’re replying too hasn’t visited this site in nearly two years ?

Noob.

ehh that’s the beauty of the internet, it’s timelessness.

as far as Furey goes (from a business standpoint, one could say that he has gone far), i agree with the above posters that his content is good, and presentation debatable; most important is, IMO, what one does with it is.

agreed too that the internet with all its resources one can often find the same or similar material… often at no cost.

and too that to learn any physical exercise, activity, or art from written material is no substitute or replacement (except in rare instances) for live interaction with another human being…

No, sorry. You don’t get to defend a Necro of this magnitude. Especially if you can’t master a simple its/it’s construct.
