In your world perhaps. But some of the standing rear naked Choke escapes that I teach can be done from the ground position also. You seem to think that if a person gets you in this position there is no way out, that is wrong.
Right now we are trying to discuss the standing choke not the ground one. We can deal with that later.
I also agree that preventing such a position in the first place is more effective than trying to get out of it once you are in it. But there is an escape for ever move.(if you can find it in time) This ground choke position is not the be all and end all of grappling, neither is the arm bar etc etc etc etc.(its a technique dude, get over it)
Let this thread become a good discussion thread on technique and pic etc. Just ignore the condescending of Omega.
The world I live in happens to be “the reeeeeeeeeal” world. And in the “reeeeeeeeeeeeeal” world, you have a matter of seconds to either clear your airway or break the hold before you go bye bye. And yes, if you’ve allowed the lock to progress to its ultimate position, YOU… ARE…FUCKED. Thats why they call it a lock. CMA are full of locks. And sometimes you don’t get out of them if you let them progress to their end.
As far as that picture is concerned you have a few striking possibilities that MIGHT work given if he hasn’t pulled your ruddy head off by the time you try it.
Also, in “the reeeeeeeeeeeal” world the standing RNC is RETARDED. As I stated, the striking possibilities are endless. I couldn’t care less what you do.
We’ve spent 2975 posts waiting for you to show something. So go ahead, show us the 10,000 ways you can hit a guy doing a RNC while standing. :nobodycar
