OK, this question is probably a bit (or a lot) cliche, or old… For all of you boxers/MMA-ers,how did/do chicks react after they hear that you’re a fighter? I’m only 15 and quite new to the arts, so please be open minded…
Honestly?
Most chicks think it’s stupid.

I’ll go with this, but it really depends on the type of girl you like. The ones I liked didn’t really care too much. They liked that I had a hobby and worked out.
My wife alternates between thinking it’s cool to thinking it’s ghey and annoying, especially when I am injured.
yeah my gf thinks its cool, but she stresses about the fights more than i do and hates me when i get hurt.
as for the answer you wanna hear as a 15 yo guy- yes, you get showered in pussy. showered. vaginal juice will be dripping from the walls of your house.

Hot and cold, running on tap. You’re going to need rain gear for all that pussy.
Seriously though, most chicks think its “stupid boy stuff”. More likely to get them to roll their eyes than spread their legs.
I think i’m gonna go against the general feel here.
A reasonable amount of chicks aren’t really into guys who are “in touch with their feelings”,or “just want to hug and walk along the beach” or any of the new SNAG (sensitive new age guy) shit. They may not be into kickin, punching or throwing the shit outta other ppl,but they do like the fact that you enjoy it and enjoy being a bloke, not some half assed girly man lol. Just remember you’re a bloke and stop trying to be a chick in dudes clothing yanno?
Well from a chick’s perspective, fighters are awesome and my boyfriend doesn’t give a crap that I fight - most guys are like “wow really!?”
I’m sure on the other hand most chicks think it’s stupid chest thumping manliness contests. I wouldn’t make it a part of your pickup routine unless you knew for sure the chick would go for it if that’s what you’re asking.
Maybe I’m just getting older, but should you really care if a girl likes that you fight? I mean, if she’s not cool with it, she’s obviously better off with some pencil-necked mouthbreather who you could beat the pulp out of.
IMO, girls who would judge you based on your hobby aren’t worth your time.
Most of the girlfriends I’ve had write it off as some sort of large-scale pissing contest and then go to town “fixing my aggressive tendencies”
Which is hilarious since I’m a Type B kinda guy.
But recently I’ve been going out with this chick who has done boxing for a couple years so she totally gets it and it’s great.
I think a similar comparison can be made to chicks and sports in general. A chick who’s into football won’t stand around wondering why you’re so engrossed by the game and not her, etc.
My wife appreciates the fact that training makes me less of an asshole, but she has zero sympathy for me when I get hurt. Mostly because she knows that I won’t be pulling my weight around the house.
Don’t let it get into the drywall! That black mold is a bitch to get out and will fuck your allergies up.
OP, sluts think it’s cool. The kind of sluts that would fuck you because you ride a Hayabusa or drive a lifted black Chevy with a Metal Mullisha sticker. The same kind of sluts that will fuck the bass player for whatever lame-ass band that opens for Bret Michaels.
You’ll get more (and better) pussy with an education, a quick wit and a decent wardrobe.
If you have to use the fact that you train MA to pick up chicks, it wont work.
First you need subtley and charm.
Edit: yeah, what Ka-bar said.
Let’s be clear: women tend to like men who can handle themselves. This is not the same thing as liking men who are actively training for combat sports.
Anyone who watched Ricco on Blind Date will get that women aren’t extra impressed by extra scrappiness (“But I can beat up 99% of men”). And he had the HW belt the time(!)
A woman who is more attracted to the PRIDE champ than the KOTC champ on the basis of ability is, IMO, a douche who needs to get her own ass in the gym.
The real question is: WHen are women going to realize that a woman not being able to fight at all is unattractive TO MEN.

Sadly, this is what I expected - note to self: when picking up chicks, don’t mention that you’re into MA.
At least I won’t make that mistake myself. Thanks everyone.
My friend tried telling girls that I fought before to pick up chicks. It didn’t work. I don’t know what the hell he was thinking. Like was it a conversation starter? Would the fact that he knew someone who competes(mind you, I was 1-0 at the time) makes chicks want him? Or was he picking them up for me? It just made no sense. The time I remember it most, it was a girl who started talking to him. And he’s the type of guy who doesn’t try to pick up girls, nevermind talking to them.
Then he finally got he competed and has since stopped trying to chat up chicks using that.
My opinion as a fighter is that I only talk about it when it’s asked about and I generally don’t volunteer the fact that I’m extensively experienced because I don’t want to come across like a blowhard. Other fighters should probably do the same.
My opinion as a female is that most guys who talk about MMA to girls outside of a training environment when they don’t really know the girl come across as pathetic.
ETA: It’s all in the presentation. If it casually comes up and you play it cool and she plies you for more information then that’s ok. If you come across like you’re just itching to bring it up then you’re going to seem like a douche.
Being funny, a snappy dresser, a conversationalist and a good dancer is infinitely more important than being able to fight when it comes to landing some bird you wanna plow.
