I didn’t post the above, I guess I could read and study and learn and all that, but being lazy and busy… Anyhow I just added me and Asia as KK bbs and I guess that the above is an auto response post. Now I want the new tag.
what if your a black belt in another karate style but have vids of yourself placing in knockdown tournaments, could you get a knockdown karate bb tag?
That could probably have a better title. When I read “Bullshido Kyokushin Black Belts” I at first thought it meant fake bbs.
I think “Karate Black Belt” would have been better, but with strict conditions that need to met.
This is just more BS nut hugging. I have met many tough KK fighters who compete in hard contact sparring. However, I have met many karateka from many different styles who compete in hard contact that also allows ground fighting as well as punches to the face.
I have also met KK guys who did not do any hard sparring at all. Kind of gets old seeing the style elitism on this site.
Its not what style you train in but how you train that makes you a bad ass.
I agree with the previous post stating that it would be a better idea to have something like “full contact karate fighter” and “full contact kung-fu fighter” (etc all) allowing bullys of all artforms that practice hard contact sparring in tournys to get credit.

the issue here is to promote people as experts in styles the AS THE RULE are hard sparring and alive training. Yes, you may be a competitor in knockdown tournaments even though you practice wado-ryu, but you would be the exception not the rule. So, this tag isn’t for promoting that a person competes in hard tournaments, it’s that they’re an expert in a verifiable alive style of training.

Or, just - ‘karate bb’? I am a shotokan black belt, have fought full contact, and it’d be cool to have some sort of tag.
no there will be no karate bb. it’s too generic and most karate schools any more do not train in a manner anywhere close to Kyokushin. Full contact fighter is a possibility though. i’ll run it by the staff.
a knockdown karate black belt tag would make the most sense of what i’ve seen here. it’s just a LOT of text.

Out of interest, how long does it normally take to get a BB in KK?
All I know is I train hard and spar harder. At my schools last tourny I sparred 3 guys my size, full contact with head punches and take downs for 3x3 minute rounds. But since its the ke?po and not kk it wont matter what belt I get to in BS’s eyes.
It dosnt really affect me as I dont have a bb in any style. But I think some guys on this site who bang in other styles must feel alot of bias from BShido.
I heard there arent going to be any fists for TD’s any more because people started sucking. Whats up with that while we are on the subject
I’m a Third Degree in my McDojo style. I have never asked nor will I. There is to much play in basic JMA/CMA/KMA styles as was mentioned.
If you do it case by case it adds to much drama.
Plus, what Wolf said and he is staff. Me am just forum leader. Apparently people think we have much more power than we really do.
it’s not bias at all. it’s truth. you are the EXCEPTION to the rule. We can’t cater to every exception. This is about promoting someone as an expert in style that is hard sparring and alive training AS A RULE. If we gave out ke?po BB tags to only the hard sparring ke?po folks that would be pretty ridiculous, and we’re certainly not going to give out tags to EVERY bb out there.
