I am just curious about the different motivations for training in Martial Arts. There are lots of different reasons that motivate me to train, but what motivates me the most is the feeling of accomplishment I get after learning a new technique. What motivates you?
Cake. I eat to much of it and have to work it off somehow. Punching people is the way to go.
I’m fairly serious, too.
Also, to you train TKD? Or another Korean art? Because this seems like a generic thread.
Good, I’m not the only one who works out to burn off the crap they ingested during the day. The worst part is being in Judo we have weight divisions. I hate my division and am currently working to go down to 160’s or so.
Uhhh…what?
Why do you want to do any martial art? - No BS Martial Arts
I mean, it’s nice to have multiple threads sometimes (there are dozens of motivation threads, “why do M.A.” threads, etc and that’s a good thing), but 2 nearly identical threads at the same time is a bit much.

I do tae kwon do and hapkido, but I phrased it generically so everyone could comment.
And thus there is no point in this being a topic in the KMA section…
