Looks like no one really knows about this art because all the little kids on this site that read this seem to have nothing better to do than to make fun of the name. Quite wasting your time writing crap and go train like a true martial artist.
Cage Fighting VS Real Life Combat
We are currently in a Cage fighting BOOOM!!! People believe that inorder to test the efficiency of a martial art that they must be able to prove this in a ring or a cage. Basiclly all matches in cage fighting end up in the opponent on the ground as soon as possible to the ground. Which those who practice Brazilian Jujitsu have been able to exploit proficiently. BUT what happens in real life? Bringing someone to the ground is the last thing you want to do…Because he may have friends and other facters may apply. It doesn’t matter how much Brazilian Jujitsu you know if your on the ground it could cost you your life. The real test is not in a cage or ring but in the battle field were there are no rules. What martial arts are out there that are practical in real life situations.
Please post your comments about what you believe is the most effective martial art or combinations thereof and why.
You do know this sort of thing has been posted by another 100+ Ninjaz to this site?
oh fuck off
Not only is this gaytarded, it’s in the wrong forum.
Holy Shit.
Please post your comments about what you believe is the most effective martial art or combinations thereof and why.
The ones that get pressure tested. Now please fellate a shotgun.
Am I mistaken or does cage fighting occur in ‘real life’ or not?
Oh god, not this again.
I’m suspicious. Are you BBT4Life, back with a new screenname?
If you’re a new poster, then the answer is:
Still BJJ.
Take the back, choke 'em out, go home. The fight is over and nobody gets hurt.
It’s not even nescessary to take them down - with people who don’t have grappling experience, it’s not to hard to finish a standing guillotine or rear naked choke.
As for the fights ending up on the ground “as soon as possible” in “cage fighting” (properly known as Mixed Martial Arts or MMA), this simply isn’t true. You have to look three general possible scenarios for an MMA fight:
-Both fighter A and fighter B want to finish on the ground. In this, it is fairly likely that the fight will end on the ground.
-Both fighter A and fighter B want to trade strikes on their feet. In this case, it’s very unlikely that the fight will go to the ground.
-The most common scenario, fighter A wants to stay on his feet and fighter B wants to go the ground. In this case, whoever has the better wrestling skills (that is, takedowns and takedown defense) will likely determine where the fight happens. You will often see people expending incredible efforts trying to avoid strikes and take their oppoent to the ground in these scenarios.
Fortunately, unlike professional mixed martial artists, most hooligans on the street do not have very good wrestling skills.
As far as your opponent have friends around, this is why it’s important to be popular and travel in groups. Especially in low-intensity street fights (ie, a tumble with an impetuous drunk, not a duel to the death with your mortal enemy), a lot of fights can be solved by taking someone down, controlling them, and waiting for your friends to break up the fight. I’ve heard several anecdotes about fights ending this way. It’s not as gloriously macho as neck cranking someone into a wheelchair, but it’s a lot more civilized.
Thanks for the info McClaw it was very insightfull. Im currently looking for a martial art Im an exmarine and wanted to see what was out there that was practical.
Hey troll. Dig this:
-
You are a marine? Please prove. it will get you a military tag next to your name. If you fail to do so you will likely get banned.
-
If you were a marine, you would list MCMAP in your style field. Which you dont. because you know and I know you arent
-
MCMAP has techniques from BJJ in it. These includes, triangles, armbars, chokes, and throws. But you would know that. If you were a marine.
-
on the battlefield, the person who wins a fist fight is the person who brought a buddy to shoot his opponet in the head while he holds the motherfucker down. Hence Grappling.
Now go fuck yourself.
Theoretically, if you get attacked in a zoo would that qualify as a cage fight?
Most effective, pistol shooting. Like Bruce Lee said( I paraphrase), “Shoot him and Setew it”.
Grabs popcorn
Semper-pie…I mean fi
I have a little problem with your comments. I too am a former member of the Marine Corps. I never did MCMAP and only know a little about it based on what I have read. I have no idea when the MCMAP program started and to be honest I thought all the h2h skillz we learned sucked big time.
I got out in 1973 so there is a bit of a gap there :icon_lol: But then again a service that prays to their rifles says alot about what they consider to be important.
seripafasha, if your are a Marine then Semper Fi brother. Follow step 1 and confirm your service by sending an email to JKDChick here at Bullsido.
And most of all sign up for some BJJ. It rocks and you’ll find out why.
He implied that he was currently a marine. so if he had served anytime since they replaced LINE with MCMAP in 2001 he would know this.
Which I dont think he did. I think he’s a troll.
Please tell us all about the martial arts style of the US MARINES
You make a claim on this website, such as serving in the USMC, you’re required to back it up. So send your DD214 (black out your social etc.) to Phrost@bullshido dot net or face possible banning.
If you are a Marine, Semper Fi.
Don’t get mad about this, everyone who has a military tag went through the same process, including myself.
That’s easy, aim and shoot. Ooohrah!
Yeah, I think the poster is a troll but I was giving him a chance. Us jarheads ain’t too bright if ya know what I mean.
Antifa, god, I hate to say this but I predate LINE also. Now thats Old Corps.
