Omg the counter hip throw is funny as hell.
After seeing those two videos, I have doubts about any actual randori in that school. The OP is one of the last people to talk about “street” vs “sport”.

That is the shittiest attempt at an Osoto-gari I’ve ever seen.
This osoto gari makes baby Jesus cry.
Haha! That’s word for word what I was going to post originally.
Hahahaha. GOOD GOD!
The O Goshi (hip throw) has to be one of the worst I’ve ever seen. We have noobs who can do that shit better. And they’re black belts. Oh yeah, Danzan Ryu seems like the way to go. Fucking hell
OMFG that’s the LAX hotel conference room! I was there for a seminar last year! I knew I smelt something funny when I got there…It was bad fucking leftover jiujitsu from these motherfuckers!
:cussing: :cussing: :cussing: :cussing: :cussing:
I join my judo brethren in weeping for the rape of osoto. Let us unite and strike down this terror.
Is it just me or is any MA event held in a carpeted hotel ballroom bad news?
What str33t in the world has a WWII-era Japanese POW camp on it? Does your neighbourhood have some weird temporal disturbances on occasion?
OMG, I shudder in fear that my BJJ will not prepare me for the wrath of a bamboo gaijin sodomy special!!
always … always a bad thing …
I was kinda hoping that Osoto Gari was a setup for Badger Roll…
My hope was apparently Vain.
Badger! Badger! Badger! Mushroom! Mushroom!..aw, damnit I thought I forgot about that meme. Thanks a lot.
Uh first vid looked like a Danzan demo, second looked like randori, uh, no finish sub, but what is wrong with the rolling/throw? Asia wrote some time ago that he preffered JJJ to BJJ for military/police techs as it’s more practical. I think that Danzan didn’t keep up with the live training, but my Uncle and family trained under Wally Jay and they were expected to train Judo and travel to Judo tournaments so that “cross” training covered the “aliveness” part of the equation.
Oh, nevermind… Thank you for explaining it slowly to a n00b. :icon_eek:
