I talked to my Daito Ryu instructor yesterday, and we are still attending. Not sure if others may be coming with us.
I will definately be in attendance. Blanche will be out of town, I’ll see if I can get anyone else to come.

my dove hunt is probably getting cancelled because of this hurricane so i may be there. Havent been to KO since i left for law school so it would be nice to go back and visit.

We don’t have any major safety regs. Just the typical things: Be safe, don’t do anything you are not confortable with, etc…
Is anyone bringing a camera to this throwdown?
I can bring my videocamera, but I will need some assistance transferring it to the web. It records and plays mini DV’s. I have to work Sat. morn. so I might be tardy.
It looks like I’m going to have to bow out, guys. The Hurricane is probably going to cause evacuation where I live. As it is, the chemical plant I work at is going on alert as of Wed. night. If it wasn’t for the kids, my wife and I would ride it out. Good luck to all you guys. I hope you all have a great and educational time.

Thanks guys. I work in Texas City, and they are starting evacs today. I live further north, about 30 miles west of Houston, so we are watching and waiting.

Guys i am having some very bad feelings about what affect the hurricane will have on this throwdown. The roads are going to nighrmarish with evacs, and general panic, the thought of trying to drive to Austin in that makes me a little nervous. If I am the only one apprehensive about the weather and the rest of you are fine with it I wiill come. However I would like to bring up the idea of postponing this throwdown due to hellacious road/weather conditions.
Also this is ACL (Austin City Limits) music festival weekend. It is supposed to be very hard to get a room for any out of town guys.
Were people coming from out of town? I don’t know if any are…
I say let’s see what the weather is like on saturday morning. If it seems unsafe to drive, then I’m definately down for postponing it. Otherwise let’s do it.
I’ll be coming from Stassney and Congress, but I won’t be able to give you a ride back because I have to work.
Edit: I go in to work at Barton Creek at 3, which means I’d need to leave by 1:45-2ish, and go straight to work. But I want to go and get at least one sparring match in. Gotta get nice and bloodied up before work. 
It seems that Austin is safe from the hurricane. But the gym owner said something pretty similar to grond. If there is incliment weather on saturday, he wont open. If it decent weather he’ll open it.
On that note, if he does open, he’ll open at 1 pm. So we’ll have to start an hour later than before. I apologize, but he has a schedule conflice at noon.
