Attn: Djimbe

Are you coming to the Throwdown in Boston? ( its going to be in October)

ttt

It is called a PM.

Will he be teaching anti-takedown techniques again?

FUCK no , that shit was WAY expensive , and frankly , I cant affoard it right now .

Besides , what do you care ? You didnt seem all that Interested in working with me/learning anythign new/hearing what I had to say/Exchanging Ideas the first time I was there anyway . You seemed more Interested in Arguing/telling me how little I knew about anything/whatever .

Shit , there were only a COUPLE of people that could manage to be CIVIL , and not just to me , either , but to the ppl that I brought with me , none of wich had any Online history with anyone . I just cant jusify spending $1K again to show up somewhere , be Snubbed , and not even really train any .

would you care to elaborate as to why it would cost you $1000 to go to boston?

*this is not a flame I’m just curious

went with a bunch of ppl , and Boston was pretty far away - further than I thought , actually . NTM that I dont eat cheap on the Road .

> Shit , there were only a COUPLE of people that
> could manage to be CIVIL ,
What throwdown did you go to? The one I remember was extremely civil, given the fallouts that had occurred online before. And if you didn’t get to train enough, you could have said something. There were enough people there.

As for the differences in opinion, you know what this board is for.

Yeah, didn’t you guys post how nice everyone was there?

that they did.

Ritchie , firstly , I hope that you know that I Was INcluding you and JBliss especially in that couple of people .

Secondly , if you cant get over some differences of opinion ONLINE and act like a human being (not YOU , I mean some ppl) and not like its some sort of Kindergarted Boy/Girl dance where one group dosent even SPEAK to the other unless practically FORCED , have a Drink , and a Smile and geht the fuck over it , then I dont know what to say for you , honestly .

Look , I think that its just harder for you to see perhaps , because YOU were a total Gentleman and a Sweetheart , and no one really had any problems Interacting with you . I remember one person that we went with ACTUALLY HAVING TIO SAY somethign along the lines of “Im going to go over there and FORCE them to deal with me .”

It was silly , and though a couple of the ppl there were REALLY cool , there werent enough of them to justify the expense .

Oh , and Ritchie :

there was NOTHING that had transpired between anyone that showed up there that even NEARED the level of personal attacks or anythign , there were a COUPLE of Systemic/technique disputes , but noithing had gotten to the “Thems Fightin’ Wurds” stage , or even come anywhere CLOSE to it before the throwdown .

will J Lau seems to be a very pro mma guy that defends mma on every opportunity. And since ur tma that makes you clush heads on ideas?

The Problem is that Djimbe makes claims about various anti-take down technique. Many fighters here disagree with the ideas.

Djimbe goes to throwdown and explains ideas. Cept that his demonstrations and explanations don’t really come off as anything more than a massive weight advantage and either sprawling or overstrengthening. As opposed to an actual technique to avoid takedowns.

That and those darned socks, always out to get him.

Honestly, if you didn’t have fun, no reason to go back, nothing wrong with that, but considering your initial comments on the last throwdown are different from what you’re saying now, I have to question the total reasoning JUST a bit.

Oh well, you’re still going to other Throwdowns I’ve seen, we’ll just have to live with never settling things or having it discussed there.

PS, everyone’s coming to Phoenix next year, right? I was thikning of making “I Got Pwned by JLau” or “I got schooled by Omega” shirts, but those won’t do much good if we don’t get any of you out here to thrash us.

I would like to see a Djimbe Vs J-Lau video.

There’s not a fight vid, but the Boston Throwdown clip in the Download section has Djimbe and JLau drilling.

It’s the situation where JLau was letting Djimbe prove his anti take down stances. And Djimbe avoided being taken down, despite the danger of slippery socks, and an experienced grappler, all thanks to a pesky wall and a weight advantage of HOW MUCH?

What I want to see is a friendly match between Djimbe and Asia, what with Djimbe making the comment that Asia was “good, but not in my category” (to paraphrase).

Actually bard , I said that his Internalism hitting method wasnt up to my level , it wasnt a comment on his entire fighting Ability .

Also you still seem to be a bit confused about the socks thing .

Thats because the last throwdown that I went to was in Whitehaven , and hosted by The Mutt , and had totally different people there .

No, you said that about the Boston throwdown.

No , Grese , actually I said nice things about the nice ppl and said NOTHING about the others .

I didnt feel it was worth mentioniong at the time , but Im not going to repeat it . Now STFU .
