At least we agree there was a door
He didn’t game anything. In fact, the game was his.
Oh, that’s very nice. Play literary games to pretend that Cruz didn’t exploit a giant hole in the school’s physical security (i.e. gaming them). Go, do your research. I’ll be here, waiting with bells on.

Giant hole? That’s not playing a game, it’s driving up with and begin shooting.

You just said “Preventative measures will always fall short of the mark, because they are known and can be gamed.”

So, where were the preventative measures in Parkland that Cruz “gamed”. Which preventive measures in Parkland “fell short of the mark”.

He just ubered up to the front door and starting shooting people?

Are you now suggesting Uber is a potential threat?

I agree.

LOL. Go do some research.

Oh, you’ve done research? What’s your conclusion? Why don’t you save us all some time.

That he gamed their physical security. I’m not doing your homework for you.
That he gamed their physical security. I’m not doing your homework for you.
What physical security? He walked in the front door. It’s hard to say he gamed something that wasn’t there. Even the deputy on site was AWOL.

It doesn’t seem like Cruz had to deal with locked doors, internal lockdown barriers. Even the CCTV was ineffective and on a 20m delay, confusing responding officers. They thought Cruz was still inside, when he had already fled with the other evacuees.

You couldn’t do what Cruz did in many NJ schools. We have strict physical security guidelines. All external entry is locked by default and monitored by video. You need to get buzzed in to any grade, intermediate, middle, or high school. In fact, in my town local PD patrol all the school lots regularly. And no, it’s not a police state…

He walked in the front door? Really, that’s your line? Still not doing the research, I see.

He walked into the front stairwell entrance of Building 12, which is an annex. The building appears to have two main entrances at the east and well stairwell.

If there’s another main entrance to building 12 I missed, show me. It’s not on the floor maps. Yes, technically there are multiple “front doors” on this campus.

That’s not the front door of the school, it’s the back exit to an ancillary building.

So, now you’re moving the goalposts.

He exploited a gaping hole in their physical security, which is what I said, and - coincidentally - what you’re saying in the other thread.

We need more static turrets at the entry points and four groups of three of the Roving Patrols. Hopefully the full sized SPOTs with the tazer gun and grippy clampy arm attachments.

Moving goalposts is you making a big deal out of my statement “he walked in the front door”. You know exactly what I meant but you wanted to argue semantics like front/back/side/east/west door, well then let’s examine your evidence. Post a floorplan or something and prove me wrong instead of “do your homework”, please.

It sure looks like the front door to the building to me considering it’s facing the parking lot, so how do you know it’s a “back exit”?

It’s facing the main street (Pine Island Rd.). Do you have an actual floorplan, because you could prove this easily by pointing out the front entrance to the building on a map. On the floorplan I posted, there appear to be two main entrances, neither one being a “rear” or “back” exit. If anything, two side entrances that were essentially front doors to the building.

Considering the size of that clearly well-budgeted campus, the gaping holes in physical security are pretty astounding.

It’s on the side of the building that is farthest away from the rest of the school, including the courtyard, etc. etc.

I haven’t moved a single goalpost. I’m arguing my original point, still.

You’re now arguing that the entire campus had a single “front door”? I’d call that moving goalposts. It’s a campus, it has multiple “front doors”. So why would you start an argument about which door it was?

Also, this image properly rotated shows that that Building 12’s front entrance faces the east. You claimed it was a “back exit”, but the Uber driver clearly drove him to the main entrance of building 12 and he walked in “the front” door.

You should stick to your original argument…why add multiplicities like this.

Here try this perspective of your “there can be only One Front Door” theory.

Seriously, let’s avoid derails like “back and to the left”…a door is a door when it’s not locked or monitored. Agreed?

LOL. You claimed he walked in the front door, then you claimed it was the front door of that building, and that it faces the same as the “front,” of the school, and now you’re claiming that there are multiple front doors, as well. And you have the audacity to say I’m moving goalposts.

Unlike you, I’ve actually been in spitting distance of that school on a regular basis.

But, don’t take my word for it; ask any student where the front door of the high school is.
LOL. You claimed he walked in the front door, .
The front door of the building…obviously. I didn’t say the main entrance of the campus.

And you claimed it was a back door after challenging me to research the difference.

What we came up with was that it’s as good as a front door to any building, regardless of orientation, with respect to this discussion, and you’re belaboring a silly point.

Turning the building around in the picture doesn’t change where the front door is. But, since you’ve done so, let’s see… Hmm, the place where all the cop cars are, on Holmberg, is the ingress to that parking lot, which is gated, same as the actual “front” entrance. The SWAT vehicles next to the “side” entrance are next to the “front” door of building 12, the part with the sidewalks leading to the other buildings. From this perspective, your “front” door is at the back of the building. Funny how that works.

Rabbit’s front door:

Seriously, it’s OK to be wrong, on this.
