Well if I was gonna suck on anything it would only be your mothers titts.
Thats when she’s done with the milkman of coarse. Still, I suppose I’ll just have to bring a magazine and wait my turn.
Look I have nothing against head high kicks. When sparring in Kyokushin, I use them where I can. Why ? Because it’s striking rules only. I’m sceptical as to if you have ever fought a good grappler. Punch/ elbows/ knees/ low-mid high kicks are fine. Other than that its just grappling all the way.
I think when you mean usefull, you mean to have the the highest oppurtunity to deliver an attack.
High kicks aren’t as verstile as many other moves such as punching. When your talking about self-defense your going to rely on whatever the hell you trained the most, primarly because when the shit hits the fan you don’t know what the hell you might pull out.
Look, in the dojo with baggy gi pants, head kicks can work.
In a kickboxing/Muay Thai gym with shorts, head kicks can work.
In a self defence situation when you are wearing jeans, I would not kick to the head. If I was attacked at work or on a lunch break while I had a business suite on and wearing dress shoes, the last thing I would be doing is kicking to the head.
Luckily I can pull high kicks on the street since I walk around in Sprawl fight shorts and an underarmor top.
More to the point however, I feel head kicks can be practical but only when timed correctly and paired with good takedown defense. In Sanda takedowns are legal so many people like me often throw high kicks and end up on the floor. However, more experienced fighters like my coaches throw lots of high kicks and still manage to avoid the takedown/sweep/whatever.
Well don’t “stretch,” but hit the bag starting low then going gradually higher and harder and after a while (let’s see, 500 kicks three times a week… @ 15 or 20,000 kicks later) you’ll be knocking their heads off.
And Hannibal is the correct.:la:
I just can’t imagine why you guys keep picking on him.
