Man, I still feel bad for those poor Kenyans. Where is Sally Struthers when you need her? Just think of all the weaponry the Western world could provide for the price of one mochachino a day??? I mean, surely these guys could upgrade a little, and at the very least use Sally as a human shield. She could could provide cover and concealment for at least a squad, maybe a platoon.
Shit, you know what? It would be great if we could discuss ancient weaponry in today’s tribal societies, and maybe, who knows, extrapolate what warfare was like before the invention of complex, mechanized weapons.
Silly idea, I know.
LMAO!
Check out Pandaemonium by Daniel Patrick Moynihan because not only is it a really great read, it is relevent to the topic at hand. Then, to round it out, Eat The Rich by PJ O’Rourke. The Chapter on “How to make Nothing from Everything” sums it up fairly accurately.
WELL THAT’S BECAUSE THEY AREN’T HUMAN!
What? Too soon?
It was either gonna be you or Cracky. You win!
Just so you know my qualifications, I work as a photo editor for a major news agency, and part of my job is to root out fake photos and this one sets off a lot of alarm bells.
The best case against it is that if you compare the saturation level of the people to the ground, there’s a noticeable difference. As people are photographed further away from the camera, they start losing saturation and sharpness because of haze. Even the people in the far back of the image are highly saturated, and edge sharp. Click on the below link to see a similar sort of photo to illustrate what i’m talking about. Apparently it won’t let me attach it.
Thats all well and good, and I don’t doubt your qualifications. I just sort of attributted the bright coloration to “Third World colors”. You know, stuff that is too vibrant to sell in the West, and would probably cause somebody with epilepsy to seize. I have a couple of ties I bought when I was living in India that are HP Lovecraft-surreal…
How about these ones (from the same website)?
Click on them to see them in full resolution. When resized to fit the forum, they look shitty.
But once seen in full resolution, in my completely untrained eye, they kinda look real:
– edit –
If all of these are photoshopped, man, they went to a lot of tedius shit to make them.
Occam’s Razor says they’re most likely real.
I nominate all of them for badass of the year.
Amen. I think the confusion arised that if we look at the last pic (the one with the kazillion dudes storming the hills) while shrinked, it looks like photoshopped, with all those dudes copied and pasted.
But once those pics are seen in full-size, man, that shit is real. Scary shit.
Specially the dude wielding the knife.
Copied it for ya

I’m not very clear on what you are saying about it.

Looking at the original web site, I’d have to agree with you. If there’s one thing photoshop has a hard time faking it’s correct directional blur. I withdraw my accusation of fakeness.
The internet wins again!
