Man is it ever gonna piss off Asia that GJJ/BJJ has closer ties to Pre WWII Kodokan Judo than what he does now. LOL.

It depends on how he does his Judo. Our Judo goes from being very Kosen to Kodokan to joint locks and stuff like that for self defense, depending on which of our instructors is teaching.

good article but has a few glarin ‘issues’
major one is the judo beat every other style, most of the ‘judoka’ were in fact higherly expereinced jujutsu masters who had alined with kano in order to preserve there teachings etc, the main one was a holder of menkyo kaiden in Daito Ryu, ill try and dig out his name, but all in all intersting, not quite sure on the gjj thing either, seems to piss judo people of the gjj is better for free fightin etc,
ill finish by pointing out that kodakan dan grades arnt recognised by the judo ruling bodies in the west, wierd hey,

Very informative article. I showed it to my instructor who in his eighties is proud not to have strayed from pre-1947 JUDO
